I'm just coming back to some JBPM work after a while on other projects. Our current workflow component is using JBPM 5.1.0 and runs in JBoss 6.1.  I'm looking at some changes and additions. My timeframe is for delivery in some months time (no definite date as yet).

So, do I plan to use JBPM 5.4 or 6.0? There is also the possibility we can change to use JBoss Enterprise BRMS Platform 5.3.1 running on EAP 6 in which case, what version of JBPM is that based on?

thanks.

No answer? Hmm.

OK, A simpler question.

If I am planning on using the Enterprise BRMS platform 5.3.1, which of the open source releases most closely matches this so I can get started?

thanks.

If you still have time to evaluate I would recommend to go straight to version 6 as it brings way more features that were lacking in previous version such as:
* improved session management
* improved timer management
* clustering support
* completely redesigned web tooling
* advanced BAM capabilities
* and more
Version 6 is targeting AS 7.1.1 and EAP 6.1 so that is the latest JBoss AS versions available and that is the recommendation if you like to run it as part of the application server.

Regarding BRMS it would be best to talk to RedHat sales to get details on that as this is the community version we talk about here.

Hi Maciej,
  Thanks for the update.

I expect that the BRMS version is based on one of the open source releases and also that some of the members here would work on it as well. I'll have a chat with my local Redhat office but they likely won't know and will have to send a query back to somewhere.
